The red cabbage experiment.

Did you know red cabbage can be used to determine whether something is acidic, neutral or alkaline?
Firstly we did some taste testing to see what these things taste like and make some PREDICTIONS. Then we poured different things into the cabbage juice to see what colour it turned. We CLASSIFIED our findings on a colour coded sheet. If it turned pinkish red it was an acid. If it turned bluey green it was a base or alkaline and no change meant it was neutral. It was all just like magic!!
